Professor Ron Bernard -
B.A., Eastern Connecticut State University;
M.F.A., Savannah College of Art and Design.
Ronald Bernard is an VFX Artist and Professor. He has extensive knowledge of particle and procedural effects as well as dynamics and foundational CG methodologies.
Ronald has also accumulated a wealth of teaching experience having taught in the Savannah College of Art and Design visual effects department from Fall 2005 – Spring 2009 and also serving as the program’s graduate coordinator. Ronald has also taught in Beijing, China as Master Teacher for Institute of Digital Design.
In the summer of 2008, Ronald worked as the Academic Director at Institute of Digital Design (IDD) in Beijing, China, Where he created educational programs and curriculum for Animation, Composting and Visual Effects.
In the summer of 2007, Ronald worked as an education and training consultant for SideFx Software Inc. in Santa Monica, Calif. There he developed training material, conducted testing and offered instruction in Houdini 9. He also taught Houdini Courses for SideFx at the 2007 SIGGRAPH conference in San Diego. In addition, Ronald served as a CG supervisor of an Animation short produced by SideFx for the SIGGRAPH conference.
In the summer of 2008, Ronald worked as the Academic Director at Institute of Digital Design (IDD) in Beijing, China, Where he created educational programs and curriculum for Animation, Composting and Visual Effects.
Professor Ron “WiZ” Bernard is currently the Dean of Academics for Bass FX Academy: BaseCamp in Beijing, China, where is creating and implementing an intensive and aggressive CG training program for international level VFX artists.
